Cyber Insurance is a comparably new insurance product and is one of the fastest growing areas in the industry, which combines Insurance Underwriting with Computer Science knowledge in a constantly evolving Cyber Risk Landscape. Depending on our clients’ respective risk profiles, we integrate innovative concepts if triggered by a cyber event. In short, Munich R can assume all material risks - individually customised and tailor-made to the risk transfer needs of our customers. 

Job Description

Your job

You’ll be working alongside a team of industry experts and underwriters, covering the Asian region. With their guidance, you would be involved in projects like: 

  • Research and analysis on cyber related legal regulations, incidents, macro- and micro economic aspects, insurance market penetration and client needs, product comparison and societal developments in light of digital transformation (including IOT and 5G)
  • Cyber security topics and trends
  • Product design and co-creation projects with clients across Asia

Your profile

  • Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Economics, Actuarial science, Law or related fields
  • Demonstrated interest in cyber security and relevant technology
  • Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to break down and solve complex problems in a high-energy, fast-paced environment
  • Good organizational skills, including prioritization and time management 
  • Good analytical skills with ability to gather information and evaluate output requirements and formats
  • Ability to think and act both strategically and tactically
  • Insurance knowledge is a plus 
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint 

This is a 6-months internship. The successful candidate should be able to commence by January 2020, and is able to work part-time during school term and full-time during term breaks
