Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audio and Video Setup: Install, configure, and operate sound and video equipment, including microphones and mixing consoles.
  • Technical Support: Provide on-site technical support during events to ensure the smooth operation of AV equipment.
  • Troubleshooting: Quickly identify and resolve any technical issues related to audio and video systems.
  • Pre-Event Preparation: Test and ensure that all equipment is working properly prior to events, including conducting system checks and calibration.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with event producers and other team members to understand the event requirements and provide technical solutions.
  • Live Event Operation: Manage live audio and video feeds, ensuring optimal sound and visual quality during the event, including mixing audio, controlling video projections, and adjusting lighting as necessary.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and check the condition of all audio and video equipment, ensuring it is kept in excellent working order.
  • Event Load-in/Load-out: Assist with the transportation, installation, and removal of technical equipment before and after events.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Audio and Video Engineer in an events or live production environment.
  • Strong knowledge of AV systems, including PA systems, video equipment, and projection technology.
  • Proficiency in using industry-standard audio and video software and hardware
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
  • Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.
  • A strong understanding of audio engineering principles and video production workflows.
  • A background in live events
