Mercedes-Benz Singapore was established in Singapore in 1999, having already had a presence in the market since the 1980s. It is a subsidiary of Mercedes-Benz Group AG. Mercedes-Benz is a globally leading producer of luxury passenger cars and vans, whilst the Financial Services division offers a comprehensive range of mobility solutions, including vehicle financing, leasing, insurance, and fleet management. Mercedes-Benz Singapore oversees the group’s cars business in Singapore as well as vans in South East Asia. In addition, the company is a regional office for IT, Treasury and Legal.
1. Support the Fleet Management Sales Team
- Assist with day-to-day sales activities, including preparing sales materials, coordinating with internal stakeholders, and supporting project initiatives.
- Contribute to ad-hoc tasks such as data collection, pipeline updates, and customer-related follow-ups to enable smooth sales operations.
- Offer logistical or administrative support for sales-driven projects, ensuring timelines and deliverables are met.
2. Assist in Monthly Sales Forecasting & Reporting
- Work closely with the sales admin team to consolidate monthly forecasts submitted by individual sales executives.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of forecasting data before submitting reports to Finance & Controlling (F&C).
- Participate in reviewing variance explanations and understanding key drivers behind forecast changes.
- Coordinate with the sales team to gather monthly forecast inputs and ensure alignment across all business segments.
- Verify that information is consistent, up-to-date, and aligned with overall business objectives.
- Help prepare supporting documents and summaries for management review.
3. Manage Purchase Orders
- Handle the creation, submission, and tracking of purchase orders related to sales activities.
- Liaise with vendors, internal approvers, and finance teams to ensure all PO-related documentation meets compliance standards.
- Assist in resolving discrepancies or issues in the procurement workflow.
4. New Vendor Application Processing
- Support the onboarding of new vendors by managing documentation, reviewing requirements, and ensuring forms and submissions are accurate.
- Communicate with vendors and internal departments (Procurement, Legal, Finance) to move applications through the approval process.
- Maintain updated records and track progress to ensure timely setup.
5. Collaboration with Marketing
- Partner with the marketing team to align sales promotions, campaign strategies, and product messaging.
- Assist in preparing promotional content, sales decks, campaign briefs, and marketing collateral.
- Contribute to campaign effectiveness tracking and provide feedback gathered from the sales team.
6. Attend Regular Sales Meetings
- Join weekly or monthly sales meetings with the sales team on upcoming promotions, events, and product launches.
- Document meeting notes, follow up on action items, and assist in organizing sales communication materials.
- Provide administrative support for internal sales events and external customer engagements if required
Qualifications
Job requirements:
- Degree in Business Management / Administration
- Basic knowledge in financial services industry preferred
- International exposure and cross-cultural experience preferred
- PC skills: MS Office and Outlook
- Language skills: proficient in English and an additional Asian language will be an advantage
