As Executive, Transhipment you will join a dynamic team to handle all transhipment containers (laden+ empty) in Singapore. You will also have the opportunity to work and communicate across geographical and cultural borders that will enable you to build a strong professional network.
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Transhipment, you will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of transhipment coordination. This includes preassigning vessels for incoming shipments, uploading CGO/DTX and VGM information into the ITPS system, and handling quotations and approvals for COD and shipment holding requests. You will also be required to retrieve essential documentation from POL to support applications for animal feed and precursor permits.
Your key responsibilities include:
- Retrieve and upload cargo and data transmission files into the system, ensuring data accuracy and completeness. Provide assurance to the Senior Executive by proactively identifying discrepancies and recommending corrective actions.
- Oversee vessel name and voyage updates, ensuring system integrity prior to data transfer.
- Match container lists with given files and bayplans.
- Ensure full compliance with VGM requirements by monitoring container records and coordinating with POL or relevant teams.
- Oversee the identification and completion of precursor and animal feed documentation, ensuring regulatory compliance and timely approvals.
- Manage COD requests and container hold processes, ensuring system accuracy and alignment with trade liner approvals. Assist the senior executive by coordinating terminal releases and optimizing space utilization.
- Responsible for notifying POL and POD in cases of container shutout and confirming the requirement for split Bills of Lading.
- Work closely with the Claims and Logistics departments to manage and resolve operational issues such as reefer malfunctions, container damage, or overweight units. Ensure discrepancies are resolved swiftly with planners or POL, safeguarding operational precision. Escalate any inconsistencies.
- Oversee dwell time management by reviewing and clearing overdue containers. Support the senior executive by coordinating with Asia Regional Office to expedite clearance, thereby minimizing penalties and safeguarding operational efficiency.
Qualifications
