Mass Participation Asia (MPA) is the region's only conference that brings together the mass participation sports industry annually in its effort to foster collaboration and drive best practice.
Founded in 2015 by industry veteran Chris Robb who has helmed some of the largest mass participation events including the JP Morgan Chase Corporate Challenge as well as Standard Chartered Singapore Marathon, MPA has successfully hosted its conferences in Singapore and Thailand.
Themed "Engage, Evolve & Excel", the 2018 edition challenges the industry to explore year-round engagement and to push its boundaries.
Job Description
THE ROLE
- Involved in daily operations of an annual mass participation conference
- The role encompasses a wide range of functions including but not limited to event management, speaker management, website management, sales reporting, social media, and digital marketing
- You will be working in a small and dynamic environment and you will get behind-the-scenes looks of one of the fastest growing sporting industries
- You will work directly with the CEO and Event Director in realizing its annual conference in December
WHAT TO EXPECT & LEARN
- You'll learn what is required to conceptualizing and executing a conference, including elements that make it a success from the finer details to the bigger picture
- Learn about the mass participation sports industry and meet some of the industry's renowned names
- An opportunity to immerse yourself in the workings of a small business
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- Basic knowledge with the Microsoft and Google suite of software
- Basic knowledge in WordPress and digital marketing platforms is a plus
- Able to work independently
- Strong attention to detail with an adherence to standards
- Interest/involvement in the sporting industry is a plus
