Makoto-Ya was established in 1992, and is now the leading importer, exporter and wholesaler of Japanese food and beverage. Our team is dedicated to sincerity and quality, connecting our customers to reliable food sources through the products we source directly from Japan.
We have a range of over 1,000 food and beverage products in our portfolio, imported from Japan and kept in optimum temperatures in our four warehouses. This is in addition to our daily rice milling and processing, as well as a variety of consultative and event support services for our customers.
Our dedicated team delivers the freshest products daily to our customers – leading hotel chains, restaurants, supermarkets, retail stores and online commerce platforms. We also distribute and export our products to markets around the world, established through our regional offices and partners.
In 2017, Makoto-Ya also set up its first regional office, Makoto House, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
This position reports to the Marketing Director and interfaces with company sales and marketing team. You will be driving marketing ideas to expand and grow Makoto-Ya business by executing value-driven solution sales activities through channel partners. You will have ample opportunities to grow in a fast and dynamic company.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Trainee to be involved in:
- Creating Listings for various e-commerce marketplaces
- Processing and liaising customers' orders on marketplaces
- Liaising with the account managers on marketplaces
- Interacting with customers to provide information on orders and handle enquiries
- Setting discounts campaigns and promotions on marketplaces
- Creating Ads on FB Account Manager and Google Ads Account
- Creating Ads on different marketplaces to attract visibility
Requirements
- Deep interest in e-commerce and consumer-marketing
- Strong command of the English language
- Customer Oriented
- Proficiency in Canva/Photoshop
- Up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing
- Resourceful, organised, a strategic thinker with an eye for detail
