Make Room – Interior Design Assistant

We need a little help on our design team and are looking for an aspiring designer to support our team. We’re committed to helping the right candidate take their first steps in the world of Interior Design and Styling in exchange for support on a few projects. You’ll get industry exposure, technical knowledge as well as the opportunity to learn tips and tricks directly from our Creative Director and Senior Design team.

This is a great opportunity for a recent graduate or someone looking to make a start in Design or Styling. Whilst you need to have a strong grasp of the tools we use, experience is not required.

Some of the things you’ll be working on:

• Support the team with surveying project sites and drawing floor plans.
• Working with furniture and material suppliers to source the perfect items.
• Getting quotes and invoices from suppliers and procuring for projects.
• Assembling styling proposals and putting together mood boards.
• Managing our sample library and maintaining our studio.
• Recording site progress and taking pictures for our social media.

You’ll need

• Great initiative, anticipating needs and solving problems and record time.
• Confidence using AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop.
• An eye for style and a keenness to learn.
• Relevant degree with aspirations to make Design your career.
• Your own laptop and you’ll need to be Singaporean / PR.
