Lum Foundation – M&A Transaction Intern

The Jade Lum Memorial Foundation is a grant-making family foundation that supports science to solve challenges in global growth and development. Our work has resulted in technological solutions used around the world to improve agriculture, education and housing. 

Our M&A team, based in Singapore, works alongside external management consultants in London and New York to support Academic Spin-Offs in M&A activities to secure supply chain and distribution, acquire talent, new production capabilities or synergistic technology. Our typical transaction size is USD100m.

You will assist external management consultants in the entire cycle of cross-border M&A transactions, including:

• investment thesis, synergy identification, value creation
• target selection criteria, identification and evaluation
• perform valuation (rNPV, WACC, qualitative adjustments) 
• risk identification and mitigation
• plan 100-day post-M&A integration

Who's suitable?

• undergraduate students 
• preference for Business, Economics, Finance, Maths, Engineering & Law Majors 
• Finance, Consulting, Investment and Entrepreneurship clubs and societies in university membership is desirable 
• familiarity with IR, M&A, Equity Research, Finance, Consulting topics is a strong plus 
• candidates looking to break into Investment Banking, Management Consulting, Private Equity, Venture Capital & Entrepreneurship in the near future are encouraged to apply
