Job Description

Business Development Representative Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for a high-energy, articulate and inquisitive individual to start their sales career within a newly created Technology lead generation function.

  • Researching potential leads and identifying the relevant key stakeholders;
  • Engaging with prospects via social media, video / telephone and marketing approaches to identify sales opportunities, promote relevant marketing/sales promotional programs and initiate the sales process;
  • Converting outbound calls and email exchanges into qualified appointments/meetings;
  • Collaborating with the Commercial sales team to understand various trends within your market sector in order to create effective engagement methods;
  • Updating our sales database with relevant client and market information to maximise opportunity.

Essential Criteria

As a people orientated organisation, candidates must demonstrate a strong match for our vibrant entrepreneurial culture and our core values; Listen, Empower, Accomplish, together with the following skills and experience;

  • Experience in a similar lead generation or inside sales position is preferable but not essential;
  • Experience of working successfully in a busy and diverse environment;
  • Experience working within a technology or tech-enabled environment would be highly desirable.
  • Drive and ambition for sales / business development;
  • Curiosity and developed research capability;
  • High-energy and a solid work ethic;
  • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal
