As an intern at LivingWord Communications (LWC), you will gain a first-hand experience in the public relations and communications industry. Our senior practitioners will integrate you into the team and provide you with direct mentorship. We designed this role to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of PR and social media, specifically in the B2B and government sectors. We offer the flexibility for you to explore different facets of communications while contributing to real-world projects.
Key Learning Areas & Responsibilities
Media Relations: Learn how to build media lists, track news coverage, and support the team in pitching stories to journalists.
Content Creation: Assist in drafting press releases, social media copy, and media and spokesperson preparatory materials.
Research: Conduct market and industry research to support client strategies and new business development.
Event Support: Assist with the coordination and execution of media events or webinars.
Reporting: Support the team in measuring the impact of our work through daily media monitoring and monthly reports.
Requirements
Current Student: Currently pursuing a degree in Communications, PR, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
Attitude: A positive, "can-do" mindset and a genuine eagerness to learn.
Writing Skills: Strong command of written and verbal English. A sharp eye for detail is essential.
Collaboration: Ability to work well within a small team and take initiative on assigned tasks.
Commitment: Available for a minimum of 3 to 6 months (part-time arrangements can be discussed).
