Role of Junior Baker:

• Maintain high standards of hygiene
• Prepare a wide variety of artisan bakery products, such as sourdough, croissant, French baguette, focaccia, ciabatta, etc.
• Create new and exciting range of bakery items to refresh our menu selection/ according to festive periods and occasions
• Maintain proper ordering of ingredients such as flour, sugar, improver etc. and ensure first-in-first out (FIFO) method is utilized
• Ensure all baking equipment are clean and kept properly

Experience & Skills:

• Proven skills in artisanal bakery products will be advantageous
• Possess knowledge of sanitation principles, nutrition, food preparation and baking techniques
• Possess food hygiene and safety certification
• Highly responsible and reliable
• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work cohesively with fellow team members as part of a team
• Able to work on weekends and public holidays (5-day roster)
