Position Overview:
We are excited to offer an opportunity for a talented and motivated UX/UI Designer Intern to join our team at Leaptechnology Pte Ltd. As an intern, you will work closely with our experienced team to learn and contribute to the creation of user-centered and visually appealing designs for our custom software solutions. This internship is designed to provide valuable hands-on experience in the world of UX/UI design within the context of software development.
Responsibilities:
1) Learning and Collaboration: Collaborate with senior developers and product managers to understand the design process, project objectives, and user requirements.
2) Wireframing and Mockups: Assist in creating wireframes, interactive prototypes, and mockups that effectively communicate design concepts and user interactions.
3) Design Iterations: Participate in design reviews and iterations based on feedback from team members and user testing, contributing to the continuous improvement of design solutions.
4) User-Centered Design: Contribute to the development of user personas, user flows, and customer journey maps to guide design decisions and ensure a user-centered approach.
5) Visual Design Elements: Assist in creating visual design elements, such as icons, color schemes, and typography, that align with the overall design vision and brand identity.
6) Usability Testing Support: Help prepare and conduct usability testing sessions, gather user feedback, and assist in analyzing the results to inform design improvements.
7) Responsive Design: Learn to design interfaces that are responsive and adaptable across various devices and screen sizes, ensuring consistent user experiences.
8) Design Documentation: Assist in creating and maintaining design documentation, style guides, and UI patterns to ensure design consistency across projects.
9) Emerging Trends: Stay up-to-date with design trends, tools, and technologies, actively contributing ideas to the team's creative discussions.
Qualifications:
Enrolled in at least a diploma program related to Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a relevant field.
Passion for design and a basic understanding of UX/UI principles and best practices.
Familiarity with design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or similar.
Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team.
Creative mindset, attention to detail, and the willingness to learn and adapt.
A portfolio showcasing any personal or academic design projects is a plus, but not mandatory.
