What can you expect from this internship?
- Research appropriate tools and techniques to build an automated anomaly detection system based on requests rate, by making simple models and learning algorithms, under supervision of a senior infra engineer
- Work with large datasets, graphing plots, and deriving conclusions from data
- Learn about leading edge internet-scalable software technologies applied to e-commerce field
Minimum Qualifications
- Pursuing a degree in in Computer Science or Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics or Interdisciplinary programs including the above disciplines
- Strong knowledge in Linux systems and networking
- Proficient in SQL and at least one programming or scripting language
(e.g. Python, R, Ruby, Perl, Golang, Java, C, C++ or similar) - Basic understanding of statistics and optimization techniques
- Hands-on experience with medium to large datasets
(i.e. data extraction, cleaning, analysis and presentation) - Ability to solve problems in nonstandard and innovative ways
- Good communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Fundamental networking knowledge
- Experience with the latest server architecture and components
- Experience with any of: nginx, ntop, REST APIs, load balancers, IP Fabric/BGP, Elasticsearch, RMQ, Prometheus time-series metric collection, Hadoop, Spark
