Job Description

The Korea Development Bank, Singapore Branch, seeks to hire a Credit Research Intern who aspires to join our Research Team in our Asia Regional Head Office.

Our Singapore-based Credit Research Team covers research on Asia Pacific based State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs), Corporates and Financial Institutions (FIs).

Reporting to the Head of Research, the intern will gain exposure in the following areas during his/her internship:

• Initiate credit research coverage of APAC-based Oil & Gas companies, SOEs, Corporates and FIs, and monitor their performance on an ongoing basis

• Draft credit research notes for issuers whose syndicated loans, bonds, debentures and hybrids the bank is considering investing in

• Analyse the impact of macroeconomic and market developments on the bank’s current and potential exposures

• Research sector and issuer-level news, earnings and other events on a daily basis and disseminate the impact on current and potential portfolio to the relationship management and credit approval teams

• Partner the relationship management and syndicated loans teams in issuer outreach initiatives

• Maintain an active dialogue with issuers, banks, buy and sell side and rating agency analysts and journalists


Prerequisites:

• Masters or Bachelor degree in Economics, Finance or Business Administration (specialising in finance) or a CFA designation

• Strong MS Excel-based financial modelling and projections skills preferred

• Prior hands-on knowledge of Bloomberg will be a plus

• Strong oral and written communication skills in English

• Strong interest in financial markets

• A good team-player who is self-motivated
