The Design Intern is responsible for providing support for the asset development and marketing department through a variety of channels, print, digital, web, video and other as assigned. The Design intern will report to the Design Lead in the respective department and will assist with the development and design of graphics and other design assets and a variety of other creative tasks as required.
The Design Intern’s primary duties include but are not limited to:
Prepare digital assets, which may include illustrations, infographics, data visualisation, photographs, or videos to coincide with stories, social media or blog posts
Assist with website development, including UX research, wireframing, and the development of component library
Assist with collateral and merchandise development
Updates to various existing assets
Other projects as assigned
Job requirements:
Excellent computer knowledge for MAC environment
Proficient in basic design programs and video editing software including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Adobe After Effects
Basic knowledge in Figma, a UI/UX prototyping tool
Excellent communication skills and administrative skills
Ability to work and learn independently and complete assigned tasks within identified time frames
Organised, dependable, and detail-oriented
Team player
Quick learner and efficient
Able to work under pressure
Additional experiences that are good to have:
Additional writing and proofing skills are a bonus
Basic knowledge of HTML, CSS and Javascript is a plus
Experience in merchandising is a bonus
Allowance provided are not finalised**
Minimum commitment period for this internship: 2 months**
