Our client is a leading chemical manufacturing company that specializes in producing polymers for industrial and commercial applications.
*Work Location: Jurong Island (company transport is provided in Jurong East MRT)
*Salary range: $2,000 - $3,200 + Allowance + AWS + VB
About the role: The Laboratory Assistant is responsible for conducting of laboratory tests and samples and quality inspections assigned to them by the Supervisor. He / she is expected to be knowledgeable on all equipment operating procedures as well as all quality control procedures and competent on the use of laboratory equipment.
Other responsibilities include:
- raw material process and finished product quality control analysis
- advance maintenance, calibration and troubleshooting of assigned laboratory equipment
- maintenance of chemicals and consumables inventory, preparation and standardization of chemical reagents and waste management.
- maintenance of quality records and development of quality procedures
- training of junior laboratory or chemical technicians
- Calibration of equipment
- Conduct and contribute to risk assessment, Quality Procedures and Decision making on quality & maintenance
- Procurement of materials and budget controls
- Implementing QA & Safety Activities
About you:
- Education Requirement: ITE / Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Sciences etc.
- Years of work experience: At least 2 - 3 years in chemical manufacturing environment.
- Other requirements: May need to work overtime on weekdays, weekend, PH and occasionally mid-night hrs. (OT pay provided where applicable)
