Job Description

At KDW, the role of our Assistant Instructor is to:

* Inspire curiosity and excitement about science and engineering, using our unique STEM curriculum to introduce students to grade-appropriate STEM concepts. Develop lesson plans, conduct lessons, and facilitate and coach students through STEM activities and experiments to create effective learning experiences.

* Work as a team with instructors and co-workers to provide a safe and exciting learning environment for students, and ensure successful program implementation and continuous improvement.

* Monitor and observe each child’s learning progress, providing feedback to both curriculum developers and parents.

* Build good rapport with parents and students.

* Ensure good classroom management. Prepare and maintain an exceptional classroom environment, ensuring adequate pre-activity set-up, lesson preparation and delivery, stock-taking and replenishment of quality classroom materials, and strict maintenance of centre hygiene and safety standards. Help maintain the good order of our centres and classrooms.

* Coordinate execution of marketing and sales activities to publicize the centre and maximize enrollment.

* Perform reception duties, answering phone call enquiries and attending to walk-in customers.

* Handle general office duties such as ordering office supplies and merchandise as well as maintenance of office equipment.

* Handle other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
