We are looking for polytechnic interns for the duration of March-August 2023.
What you will do:
The Engineering Intern is responsible for technical support – primarily customer quotations and business development case studies for various composite applications. Key emphasis will be on the ability to understand customer requirements and rapidly demonstrate how composite based solutions can be utilized to provide solutions with costing, timing, and resources included in the proposals.
How you will do it:
• Assist to provide product technical engineering information by creating and giving presentations on customer proposals. This contains, but is not limited to, 3D representations of finished goods, 3D representations of tooling, etc
• Assist in the conceptual design of composite components and assemblies to support proposals • Assist to generate solid and surface component and assembly CAD models
• Compose detailed bill of materials for proposals
• Prepare cost estimates by studying blueprints, plans, and related customer documents; consult with engineers, and other professional and technical personnel
• Work as part of a team of design and engineering and ops staff
What we look for:
• Pursuing a diploma from a reputable educational institution
• Pursuing a diploma in building and construction-related course/ engineering/ mechanical and electronics engineering
• Able to commit to a full-time internship for 6 months
• Self-motivated and open minded with passion to challenge status quo and drive for continuous improvement
• Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
Learning Outcome at the end of internship:
The intern will be able use the software Metasys for programming, be exposed to the controls world ie i/o module, build chiller schematic components and focus on energy efficiency and saving from chiller optimization. The intern will also be well-versed in the Building Management System creation, graphic database and interfacing protocols.
