In a nutshell, you would thrive on developing students to become stronger and more persuasive academic writers.

Responsibilities

● Work closely with students across the full academic year on their final capstone research papers -- guiding students to produce high-quality research work by working with them on depth of analysis, sophistication of arguments, proper research methodology, appropriate citation style, prose clarity, and grammar.

●  Work closely with students across the university application season to help students craft clear, persuasive, and compelling narratives that accentuate the strengths of their candidacy, and to help them formulate cogent reasons for their intended choice of academic study at university.

Qualifications

●  Degree from a reputable local / overseas university

●  Coursework in any field, including but not limited to English, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Geography, Sociology, Law, Communication, Education

●  History of experience that highlights superior written and verbal language skills

●  Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work well independently and in a team environment, and the ability to organize and manage multiple tasks within demanding deadlines

●  Strong grades for English and/or other writing-intensive coursework at university and at the high school level (A-Level / International Baccalaureate, or equivalent)

Preferred Experience

●  Prior professional experience in journalism, academic writing, and/or copyediting
●  Knowledge of main citation styles, including MLA, APA, Chicago Manual of Style
●  Experience in writing a research thesis paper at the undergraduate or postgraduate level
