Responsibilities:

Accounts Receivable (AR)

Process incoming payments from customers and clients, ensuring ledgers and balance sheets are accurately updated.

Prepare and issue customer invoices in line with accounting procedures, ensuring accuracy of invoice details, payment terms, and client information.

Maintain up-to-date accounts receivable records, monitor aging, apply credits and collections, and manage uncollectible amounts.

Proactively follow up with clients via phone, email, or mail to ensure timely collections and resolve any billing issues.

Create, implement, and enforce credit policies based on direct experience with AR processes.

Investigate discrepancies in invoices and work to resolve any payment or billing problems.

Accounts Payable (AP)

Process vendor invoices accurately, ensuring proper matching to general ledger accounts, purchase orders, and pricing verification.

Track payments and manage cash outflows to meet weekly financial obligations.

Maintain meticulous records of all financial transactions, including payroll, purchase orders, and invoices.

Liaise with vendors on inquiries and resolve any outstanding credit issues professionally.

Support audits by providing documentation and clarifying financial transactions.

Continuously assess and improve AP processes for efficiency and accuracy.

Accounting & Reporting

Prepare monthly financial statements and reports in line with regulatory requirements.

Develop and maintain accounting systems, procedures, and internal controls.

Monitor and analyze financial results, identify variances, and take corrective actions as required.

Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of P&L accounts.

Assist in coordinating external audits and ensure timely completion of tax filings.

Prepare analytical reviews of the Statement of Comprehensive Income, Balance Sheet, and Notes to Financial Statements.

Budgeting & Financial Planning

Support the preparation and consolidation of budgets, revising periodic plans to align with organizational objectives.

Monitor budget compliance, track financial performance, and highlight areas for potential improvement.

Prepare periodic analytical reports to stakeholders, estimating future financial needs.

Monitor liquidity, manage risks within defined parameters, and ensure adherence to policies and regulatory requirements.

Present and defend budget recommendations using data-driven analysis.

Requirements:

Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or related field.

Applicants must have the right to work in Singapore without visa-sponsorship

At least 2 to 3 years of relevant working experience, preferably in a standalone finance role.

Solid knowledge and hands-on experience in AR, AP, accounting, reporting, and budgeting.

Strong understanding of financial regulations, compliance, and audit processes.

Proficient in MS Office and accounting software.

Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Familiar with DBS iDEAL system, including role assignment settings, uploading, approving, and releasing payments, and adhering to payment cut-off schedules.

Good communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, vendors, auditors and internal stakeholders.
