Job Description

Legal Intern (Part Time) 3 Days (24hours) A Week or Minimum 2 Days (16hours) A Week


Job Description 

This legal intern position will be supporting the Imerys Asia-Pacific legal team, with a focus on South-East Asia and India. The legal team in this region is generalist and is exposed to diverse and exciting aspects of law, of which includes general commercial contracts, mining contracts and other mining regulatory topics, dispute resolution, compliance as well as corporate work (day-to-day and corporate restructurings). To support the team, the intern’s job will include: 

  • Legal research and helping with knowledge management projects

  • Proof-reading

  • Drafting, reviewing and commenting on basic commercial contracts, as well as helping with mass contractualisation campaigns

Requirements

  • Currently studying or has recently completed a law degree from a reputable law school 

  • Good understanding of commercial legal principles 

  • Good attention to detail 

  • Good command of English (written and spoken)

  • Team player and at ease in multicultural environments

  • Problem solving skills and sense of initiative are a plus

  • Bi-lingual in any of the following is a plus: Vietnamese, Thai, Korean
