Imerys Asia Pacific Pte Ltd – Business Development and Marketing Internship

The creation of this internship position is to support the regional and local business development teams in both organic and inorganic growth through 4 main areas:

• Mergers & acquisitions project support
• Strategy development support and implementation; regional, national, segment level
• Market research of new or existing geographies and end markets
• Marketing & innovation – B2B strategic marketing and new product development support

Key responsibilities:

- Suggest additional sources of market/competition information

- Approach and discuss with both internal and external subject matter experts

- Structure market and competitor information in an analytical way

- Work with the countries to get a deep understanding of the local market

- Identify potential targets for mergers and acquisitions

- Assist in preparing presentations and business case for investments committees

- Update the database of customers and competitors of carbonates in APAC

- Engaging in specific B2B marketing projects

- Providing new product development support through research and idea management

Profile of candidate:

- Degree in Business Management/Administration/Economics preferred but candidates with relevant work experience may apply

- Only Singapore-based students/applicants will be considered

- Preferably with less than one year of working experience

- Very good analytical skills and high level of rigour

- Able to work under pressure in a M&A environment

- Naturally inquisitive mind with an ability to think 'outside the box'

- High level of curiosity with ability to step back for strategic thinking

- A certain level of autonomy and not shy to ask questions

- Proficient in XLS and PPT

- Proficient in English.  Knowledge of a 2nd South-East Asian language will be an advantage
