Hypotenuse AI – Business Development and Writing Intern

At Hypotenuse, interns aren’t here to scan paper or do monotonous tasks. We empower you to make decisions, contribute creatively and think critically. We want self-starters who can take ownership of their work, are entrepreneurial and want a taste of working in a high-growth, fast-moving start-up.

This role threads between both business development and a writing role. You will work closely with the growth team on interacting with our users and expanding our customer base, while writing content for a variety of audiences. If you like writing creative content and speaking with customers, this role is for you!

Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct in-depth research on industry-related, technical topics to pinpoint market opportunities and write related articles about them
• Understand the needs and expectations of customer groups, ideate and execute tailored strategies to drive adoption of product and establish positive long-term relationships
• Work directly with the founding team in executing growth strategies for the company
• Work with the AI to create engaging and compelling content
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across tech, marketing and sales to support internal initiatives

Requirements:

• Self-starter with a bias for action to get things done, and isn’t discouraged by failure or mistakes
• Excellent command of the English language, with a good grasp of modern slang and expressions
• Quick learner that thrives in a fast paced environment
• Comfortable with presenting, negotiating and interacting with top decision makers
• Any of the following skills is a big plus: strong Excel skills, Canva/Photoshop/Adobe Illustrator tools, figma, UIUX design
• Experience in start-ups, or in a business development / account management role (ideally in tech or e-commerce) is a plus
