Job Description

ABOUT THE ROLE

Hummingbird Bioscience is seeking an Intern to help develop cutting edge methods for the analysis of protein and antibody structures utilizing machine learning and other structural bioinformatics methods. The successful candidate will have an interest and some background expertise in: 

  • Programming and a basic understanding of bioinformatics
  • Getting exposure to antibody discovery and development methods and tools
  • Understanding current challenges in oncology drug discovery and development 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be part of a team to develop novel structural bioinformatics pipelines and machine learning approaches to analyze protein-protein and protein-antibody complexes
  • Assist with projects to humanize and affinity mature therapeutic antibody candidates 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s Program in Computer Science, Computational Biology or related Science program
  • Experience with programming languages R and Python.
  • Interest in Life science, Structural Bioinformatics.
