Horizon Labs – UI / UX Designer Intern

As a UI/UX Designer Intern, you will collaborate with our design and development teams to create intuitive and engaging user experiences for web and mobile applications. This role offers hands-on experience with modern design tools and methodologies in a fast-paced, innovative environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Pursuing or recently completed a degree in Graphic Design, HCI, Information Systems, or related field.
• Basic understanding of design principles and user-centered methodologies.
• Familiarity with prototyping tools such as Figma and Webflow.
• Passion for creating user-centered designs and improving user experiences.
• Knowledge of typography, color theory, layout, and usability.
• Comfortable working in a startup environment.
• Experience in health tech design is a plus.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new design challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in design reviews and brainstorms with peers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with product managers and developers to align design with user needs.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to communicate design concepts.
• Conduct user research and gather feedback through surveys, usability testing, and interviews.
• Ensure designs are responsive, accessible, and aligned with project goals.
• Maintain design documentation and adapt it based on product updates and user input.
