Job Title: UI/UX Design Intern

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated UI/UX Design Intern to join our team. As a UI/UX Design Intern, you will be responsible for designing and implementing user-friendly experiences for our digital products. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals in the field and gain hands-on experience in UI/UX design.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Participate in the design process, including brainstorming, wireframing and prototyping.

• Collaborate with the CTO, Head of Design, and tech developers in building the designs.

• Assist on organising Figma artefacts for improvement in workflow.

• Assist in providing design recommendations and creative solutions to improve user experience and conversion rates.

• Collaborate with the Head of Design in developing design tests for the products for testers to carry out.

• Collaborate with the Head of Design in the testing process and writing out bugs.

• Able to work in a face-paced startup environment and able to adapt to change. 

Learning Outcomes:

• Gain working experience as a UI/UX professional.

• Learn important market research knowledge and techniques in secondary research and conducting focus group sessions, as well as demos.

• Develop and learn common wireframing tools: AdobeXD, Figma, Diagram.io.

• Learn how to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project outcomes.

• Gain domain knowledge in UI/UX design and development in the tech industry and attached project's industry.

Requirements:

• Basic knowledge of design thinking, design systems, user research, and interaction design.

• Basic understanding of UX patterns, visual design, information architecture, and its impact on front-end development.

• Basic proficiency in mainstream design and collaboration tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch).

• Knowledge in wireframing/prototyping for quick concepts.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Team player and positive working attitude.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g. Graphic Design, or Digital Media).

• Passionate about UI/UX design and willing to learn.

• Basic understanding of HTML/CSS/JavaScript is a bonus

• A strong interest in design, technology, and user experience.
