Job Description

About the Role

Create real content. Tell meaningful stories. Build a portfolio with purpose.

HMI Institute is looking for a Creative Digital & Marketing Intern to support our digital content, social media, campaigns, events, and brand storytelling.

As a social enterprise, we work across healthcare skills, career transition, caregiver education, community outreach, and social impact.

This is a video-led role for someone who enjoys filming, editing, creating short-form content, and turning real stories into content that people can understand, engage with, and remember.

You will create content across learner stories, career pathways, healthcare training, community initiatives, and purpose-led campaigns.

What You Will Do

  • Contribute fresh ideas on how HMI Institute can make its content more engaging, social-first, and mission-led.
  • Create short-form videos, visuals, captions, and campaign assets that bring HMI Institute’s brand messaging, mission, learner stories, career pathways, and community impact to life.
  • Lead the hands-on production process for selected video assets, from ideation, scripting, storyboarding, filming, editing, captioning, formatting, and publishing preparation.
  • Use AI tools to improve speed and efficiency in ideation, scripting, subtitles, editing, and content repurposing, while ensuring outputs remain accurate and brand aligned.
  • Support event activations, including pre-event preparation, on-site coordination, content capture, booth support, and post-event content follow-up.

What We Are Looking For

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed studies in media, communications, marketing, digital content, or a related field.
  • Able to independently film and edit basic short-form videos.
  • Good eye for visuals, pacing, captions, and social media formats.
  • Able to simplify information into clear and engaging content.
  • Proactive, creative, organised, and comfortable taking initiative.
  • Able to manage assigned content tasks with clear timelines, good follow-through, and timely updates.
  • A portfolio, school project, personal content page, or sample work is preferred.

What You Will Gain

  • Hands-on experience in digital content, social media marketing, campaigns, and events.
  • Exposure to real learner stories, community initiatives, and brand storytelling.
  • Opportunity to build a purpose-driven creative portfolio.
  • Experience supporting a brand focused on healthcare skills, career transition, caregiver education, and community impact.
