Job Description

Interior Designer Paid Internship

Location: Ubi Vertex, Singapore

Company: HG Works Pte Ltd

Internship Period: Minimum 3 months (with potential for extension)

Allowance: A competitive monthly stipend will be provided, commensurate with market rates.

The Opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated and creative Interior Design student for a full-time internship. This role offers immersion in the full design process under the mentorship of our senior designers. The internship includes an initial 3-month probationary period to ensure a mutual fit, with the opportunity to continue for a longer duration based on performance and project needs.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in creating design concepts, including space layouts, material selections, and colour schemes.
  • Support project coordination from concept to completion, liaising with clients, suppliers, and contractors.
  • Participate in client meetings and help prepare presentation materials.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align design work with project objectives.
  • Research design trends, materials, and technologies.
  • Perform additional tasks to gain broad exposure to the interior design industry.

Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of a diploma/degree in interior design or a related field.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, and the Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign).
  • Strong visual, communication, and organizational skills.
  • A proactive, eager-to-learn attitude and ability to work in a team.
  • A portfolio of academic/personal design work.
