We run an initiative in Singapore called the Her Rise Above Program. It is a 3 month program that empowers ladies from low-income backgrounds with support to start or grow their home business. Ladies receive customised, weekly one-to-one sessions with a volunteer mentor to work through various aspects of starting a business.

Job Description

The Intern will:

  • Oversee the development and management of the program including coordinating with different stakeholders, managing volunteers and ladies in our program and identify opportunities to improve/expand the program.

  • Identify opportunities, resources and partners to grow the capacity of the Her Rise Above programme and maximise our impact to the community we serve

  • Coordinate and liaise with the volunteers, ladies in our program and other relevant stakeholders to ensure the progress of the program

  • Provide assistance and resources in helping the ladies’ home businesses

  • Weekly monitoring of Risers’ Progress and follow ups required for support

  • Maintaining files for Risers’ including Grant Management 

  • Upkeep of Volunteer Management Files

  • Oversee content, logistics and communications associated with the program’swebsite and social media

  • Assist in the collection of data that is required for monitoring and evaluation the Her Rise Above program 

  • Assist with event coordination & logistics where we provide support to ladies (i.e. packing hampers, learning opportunities)

Commitment, Compensation and Conditions

Reporting to both co-founders of the HRA Program

Salary dependent on experience and qualifications1 year part-time internship contract; if deliverables are successfully met, this role may become permanent

4 hours daily x 5 days a week (Monday-Friday) excluding Public Holidays
