About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and tech curious IT Intern to support our day-to-day IT operations and ongoing technology initiatives. Reporting to an IT Manager, this role provides hands-on exposure to troubleshooting, systems support, hardware/software maintenance, and IT projects within a dynamic business environment.
Responsibilities
Technical Support & Troubleshooting (Level 1)
- Provide first-level technical support to employees for hardware, software, and network-related issues.
- Log & Track Tickets in Fresh Service. Ensuring SLA is met and accurate documentation.
- Configure and deploy laptops and peripherals for new hires, providing onboarding and IT support for employees.
- Maintain accurate IT asset and inventory records.
- Enforce and ensure adherence to IT policies and procedures in line with internal governance standards, including GDPR/PDPA and ISO/IEC 27001:2022.
- Escalate more complex issues to Senior IT/Manager
Town Hall & AV Support
- Set up, operate, and provide on-site support for AV equipment for company events, meetings, and Town Halls.
- Support Webinars via Zoom or Microsoft Teams.
Project Support
- Participate in IT improvement projects (e.g., system upgrades, digital transformation, migration).
- Conduct research on new tools, technologies, and security practices.
- Support testing and rollout of IT-related initiatives.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of Windows/macOS operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office 365, Teams, and common business applications.
- Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi, routers, VPN).
- Basic troubleshooting skills for hardware and software issues.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and interpersonal abilities to handle end users.
- Good command of spoken and written English
- Willingness to learn, proactive attitude, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Proactive with innovative ideas
