Kitchen Assistant / Junior Cook (5.5 Work Week)

Salary Range: $3,000- Fulltime & Permanent / $100 cash end of the day for part-time

Working Hours/ Days: 9am to 3pm; 5pm to 10pm (Wednesday to Monday, Closed on Tuesday & half day on Monday / 5.5 work week)

Job Description

We are a Modern Japanese Restaurant looking for passionate and dedicated staff to join our team as a kitchen assistant.

• Assist in day-to-day operations of the kitchen area
• Ensures high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout all kitchen areas at all times.
• Keep the cooking area and equipment clean & hygienic
• Guarantees that food storage at station is tidy and well maintained
• Assist in food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping and cutting)
• Packing take-out orders as needed.
• Storing ingredients and food items according to food safety standards
• Other duties as and when assigned by Executive Chef

Requirements 

• Fresh grads / candidates with no experience are welcome to apply
• Energetic and fun team player
• Learning Japanese cuisine with a positive attitude
• With or without experience and willing to learn
• Has an interest in Japanese cuisine and cooking
• Fast learner and able to take directions well
