Job Description – Application Chemist – Personal and home care formulation
Greenitio is a Singapore-based climate tech startup that develops bio-based ingredients and biopolymers to substitute non-renewable polymer ingredients in consumer products. We are creating biomolecules that aim to exhibit comparable performance and provide similar functionalities to petroleum-derived materials minus pollution. Ideally, you should:
- Have extensive experience (more than 6 months) in cosmetics, personal, and home care product formulation.
- Must have prior knowledge of handling chemicals. Cosmetic ingredients and formulation laboratory equipment.
- Have a bachelor's degree or diploma with 1+ years of work experience in Cosmetic Science/ chemistry/ materials science/ pharmaceutical science/ food technology/ medicinal chemistry/ environmental science or related disciplines.
- Knowledge of green chemistry and its principles is preferred.
- Singapore citizens and Singapore permanent residents are preferred.
- You will work with Greenitio scientists to help in day-to-day laboratory activities.
- Develop cosmetics, personal care, and home care formulations using Greenitio’s novel bio-based ingredients.
- Work directly with customers to assess or develop formulations.
- Scaling up laboratory reactions to pilot scale.
- Keep a record of laboratory notebooks for all experiments and day-to-day activities.
- Ordering of chemicals and consumables from registered vendors.
- Help organize and maintain chemicals and consumable stocks.
- Keeping the lab clean and tidy all the time.
