Job Description

Job Duties & Responsibilities

General Duties

  • Supervise and ensure the floor staffs are all well equipped with PPEs before commencement of work.
  • Ensure high standard of sanitation, cleanliness, hygiene as well as the quality level of products and services.
  • Report to Operations Executive or Assistant Operations Manager if any staff, inclusive of him/herself is unwell or suffering from any infectious diseases immediately.
  • Report all incident(s), situation(s), assignment(s), irregularity, absenteeism, and manpower shortages on daily shift duties
  • Provide on the job training to new staff on their job duties in respective areas of responsibilities.
  • Attend SGH required training on code of conduct; including SGH’s Mission, Vision and Core Values.
  • Ensure water temperature, chemical levels are appropriate as set forth by GS and SGH.
  • Lead the team of stewards to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Supervise employees' ability to follow loss prevention policies to prevent accident and control costs.
  • Ensure compliance for any food handling and sanitation standards.
  • Enforce and monitor proper use of equipment and tool for the various jobs.
  • Assist with inventory checks and requisition of chemicals and other items.
  • Ensure neat documentation of delivery orders, purchase orders and invoices.
  • Co-ordinate with the Operations Executive and Assistant Operation Manager to check their requirements for the day-to-day operations.
  • Any other reasonable duties as per instructed by the Operations Manager, Operations Executive or FSD- Food Service Manager.

Additional Duties: -

  • Maintain cleanliness for all areas that is managed by GS.
  • Perform routine checks for such areas such as Food Services Office, Dietetics Office, Discussion Room, General Office, Procurement Office, Ace Room, Meeting Room, toliets, Corridor and et cetera.)
  • Check and record machine condition of Dish washing machines thrice daily at 10am, 1.30pm and 7.30pm.
  • Checking of toilet every 30 minutes to ensure high standard of hygiene and cleanliness.
  • Provide certifying laboratory with samples for bacterial swab tests on a quarterly basis.
  • Supervise the return of soiled & cleaned trolleys from wards as per stipulated schedules.
  • Ensure that cultery are packed on time and according to requirements.
  • Ensure all utilities are switched off during closing duties.
  • Supervise the return of soiled food trolleys from wards and clean up the trolleys as described in the SOP for the turnover of each meal period.
