Accountant (1year Contract)


What fun you’ll have?

Reporting directly to the Finance Director, the Accountant will be responsible for financial accounting and reporting duties focusing on full spectrum of Accounts Receivable operation. This is the role for someone who has keen eye for detail, enjoying people interaction and willing to work in a dynamic FinTech environment. This role will focus 60% on Accounts Receivables and remaining of the time on maintaining full-set of accounts for subsidiaries.

The successful candidate will run part(s) of the financial reporting independently with minimum supervision. Next to this, the candidate will support the Finance Director in processes improvement initiative and making sure the company is in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Handle full spectrum of Accounts Receivables from revenue recognition through to the collection
  • Check and accrue revenue
  • Ensure revenue projection is supported
  • Compile and distribute product report
  • Issue and distribute invoices
  • Generate and distribute statement of account
  • Maintain accurate records
  • Investigate, research and resolve issues raised by customers and business units
  • Business partner function: monitor the result of business activities, analyse and identify variances and initiate corrective or improvement actions, provide advice and insight
  • Work with the business leaders to review accounts and client payment and credit history to modify or develop better repayment terms
  • Work closely with the Accounts Payable Specialist to ensure healthy cashflow
  • Support month-end closing process
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet schedules and follow up with a necessary action
  • Assist in annual budgeting planning and quarterly forecasting update
  • Assist in tax matters including GST, VAT and VAT
  • Engage in ongoing educational opportunities to update job knowledge 
  • Continuous evaluation of current processes and be a change agent to drive a culture of continuous process improvements within the organisation
  • Perform analysis on product performance
  • Complete ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned

Got skills?

  • At least 5 years accounting experience preferably in an IFRS environment
  • Bachelor or equivalent degree in Accountancy or Finance 
  • Proficient with MS Excel and SAP B1 (or a similar SAP product)
  • Strong English language proficiency 
  • Tech savvy
  • Experience in an international, multicurrency environment and financial institution will be a big plus
