Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) is the Singapore chapter of the United Nations Global Compact.

As the national lead platform promoting corporate sustainability, GCNS provides an ecosystem for companies to align strategies and operations with universal principles on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions to achieving the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).   

Through various platforms for multi-stakeholder engagement and collective action, GCNS advances the stewardship of sustainable business practices and Singapore’s national agenda of becoming a regional sustainable business hub.

In addition, GCNS nurtures the next generation of responsible business leaders through its youth initiatives. GCNS is a stakeholder of the Global Reporting Initiative and supports the Singapore chapter of the World Bank Group's Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CPLC).

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Support the organisation’s events, including three flagship event – Singapore Corporate Sustainability Apex Awards Gala Dinner, GCNS Youth Forum and GCNS Summit
  • Assist in the planning and implementing of logistical support for GCNS Events
  • Support the Project Managers in developing the events’ Administrative Plan
  • Engage International Business leaders for the events
  • Assist in administrative and other ad-hoc duties

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age and having completed A levels or Diploma
  • Have a positive and mature work ethic in achieving set goals within tight deadlines
  • Strong project management, customer service, problem solving and relationship building skills
  • Detail-oriented and organised, ensuring quality and consistent output
  • Be comfortable with engaging stakeholders from the region, including C-suite level participants
  • Good communicator, verbally and in writing
  • Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude, and work independently with little guidance in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
  • Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and/or illustrator, and video editing softwares (eg: Final Cut Pro)
