Global Compact Network Singapore (GCNS) is the national lead platform promoting corporate sustainability. As the Singapore chapter of the United Nations Global Compact (UNGC), GCNS works closely with companies to align strategies and operations with universal principals on human rights, labour, environment and anti-corruption, and take actions to achieving the SDGs.

Through various platforms for multi-stakeholder engagement and collective action, GCNS advances the stewardship of sustainable business practices and Singapore's national agenda of becoming a regional sustainable business hub.

In addition, GCNS nurtures the next generation of responsible business leaders through its youth initiatives. GCNS is a stakeholder of the Global Reporting Initative and supports the Singapore chapter of the World Bank Group's Carbon Pricing Leadership Coalition (CPLC).

Job Description

Responsibilities:

•Support the organisation of flagship GCNS Events – International Youth Forum
•Assist in the planning and implementing logistical support for GCNS Events
•Support the Project Managers in developing the events Administrative Plan
•Assist in Youth Membership Recruitment Strategy
•Assist in administrative and other ad-hoc duties

Requirements:

•At least 18 years of age and having completed A levels or Polytechnic education
•Have a positive work ethic and determination in getting things done within tight deadlines
•Strong project management, customer service, problem solving and relationship building skills
•Detail-oriented and organised, ensuring quality and consistent output
•Be comfortable with engaging stakeholders from the region, including C-suite level participants
•Good communicator, verbally and in writing
•Goal-oriented with a mature disposition to take ownership of projects and targets assigned
•Ability to maintain a professional and positive attitude and work independently with little guidance in a fast-paced, changing environment.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Knowledge of design software and WordPress would be an advantage.
