Job Description

Interns are required to provide administrative and technical support to underwriters in the areas of underwriting operations, procedures and policy endorsements and ensures that policy transactions such as renewals or quotes are issued and changes are recorded correctly.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, analysis, data accumulation, and input of information. this role involves day to day interaction within a multicultural team, as well as communication with clients and supporting the department.

Key Deliverables
- To provide statistical and reporting support to the Underwriter
- Data entry and quality checking of risk information, reporting and account analysis, scanning and logging of insurance documents
- Controlling and coordinating the filing of documentation as it relates to policies and other legal records
- Review incoming insurance applications for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure that company procedures and systems are followed and maintained, as per procedures and compliance manuals
- Prepare (Re)Insurance slips
- Prepare Market Analysis and Reports
- Applying working knowledge of processes and procedures associated with underwriting support unit responsibilities
