General Insurance Association of Singapore – Corporate Communications Intern

Established in 1966, the General Insurance Association of Singapore (GIA) is working to make all aspects of insurance easier and more effective for consumers, agents and insurance companies in Singapore.

As a Trade Association, GIA's role is to be active in the business community representing the interests of its member companies. GIA helps identify emerging trends and responds to issues affecting the General Insurance industry. It seeks to promote the overall growth and development of the General Insurance sector in Singapore.

GIA encompasses all non-life insurance companies transacting business in Singapore. We are also constantly in the process of improving and achieving our mission and structure to ensure that it continues to meet the business needs of its member companies.

The Intern will be involved in, but not limited to:-

1) Organisation specific Marketing Communication Initiatives
2) Programs, events and corporate initiatives (i.e. circulars, eCards, Annual Reports, Branding and Representation)
3) Copywriting and drafting communications
4) to contribute to weekly reviews with management on initiatives
The Intern should have:-
1) Excellent interpersonal skills, including ability to understand others' perspective and agendas
2) Journalistic skills to include copywriting, information research and analysis story telling
3) Ability to work accurately to tight deadlines
4) Competence with Microsoft Office and media creating software (i.e. Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator)
