Job Description

Quality Engineer Intern (From Jul 2022)


Role Summary/Purpose: GE's internships offer a unique opportunity to gain hands-on and experience through challenging projects, learn from some of the brightest and most innovative minds in the business and network with a variety of talented professionals.

Essential Responsibilities Key responsibilities include (but are not limited to): 

  • Support Quality team in Quality Assurance & Quality improvement programs/activities
  • Get a chance to lead / co-lead process/quality improvement projects for operational excellence
  • Learn on Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and problem-solving tools, conduct RCA and Quality Audits
  • Support in product qualification package & drafting of work instructions
  • Learn and execute Kaizen and Lean Six Sigma tools and make positive impact to the business
  • Perform data collection and apply data-driven analytical approach to problem solving
  • Initiate Kaizen ideas & work with a team to implement the ideas
  • Be exposed to power generation service/refurbishment processes & industry, metallurgical labs, industrial non-destructive Tests methods, calibration programs, inspection technologies (as required)

Qualifications/Requirements 

  • Currently pursuing a Diploma/Degree in Engineering
  • Competent with MS Office applications
  • Being inclusive and having the imagination and courage to make changes
  • Possess good communication skills
  • Able to commit for 5-6months, Starting from Jul/Aug 2022
