Job Description

Provide technical expertise, improvement recommendations and guidance in support of the manufacturing process. Work to improve the performance and efficiency of existing machine. Plan projects or subtasks that may be tracked and presented.

 

Responsibilities :

• Gather, analyse and summaries production process data for their use in valuing and prioritising process continuous improvement opportunities; utilise continuous improvement methodologies to lead, implement, and track improvements and to conduct check and adjust activities with the objective to reduce wastes while striving for efficiency and profitability.

• Work with cross-functional personnel to analyse and solve production flow issues stemming from sequence of work, balance of tasks, tooling/equipment constraints, and manpower allocation/training.

• Analyse and makes recommendations regarding production facility arrangements for improvements to production capacity, manufacturing flow, new model incorporation, and strategic work transitions.

• Identify, justify and implement new technology and manufacturing techniques to improve safety/ergonomics, reduce manufacturing cost (Labour, material, inventory, scrap) and improve product/process quality.

• To develop and implement an Energy program to prevent waste/reduce utility consumption.

• Support the needs of the plant by participating in all strategic initiatives.

• Control of Bill of Materials (BoM), CAD Models and Engineering Drawings.

• Participate in overseas project management team by the provision of engineering and technical expertise in the design and installation of new plant design and production lines. This includes the designing, installing/constructing and commission new production plant, monitoring development.

• Develop, implement and manages all maintenance procedures to ensure all engineering and maintenance goals are met.

• Ensure the Maintenance Department supports the needs of production and keeps all production equipment in proper working condition.

• Write reports and present progress at project meetings.

• Ensure plant equipment and processes are in compliance with all regulatory requirements including WSH, environmental, health and emissions.

• Responsible for completing technical work assignments with direction and Supervision.

• Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.

• Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the HACCP & Quality Plan under the ISO & ISO Management Systems.

• Perform other related duties as assigned by superior.

 

Requirements :

· Diploma in any Engineering / Project Management related discipline.

- Fresh Graduates are welcome.

· 2 to 3 years of experience in process and equipment design calculation, equipment selection and layout in Engineering Projects. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

· Knowledge in project management, Analog and digital electronics design and process improvement.

· Familiar in PLC (Programmable Logic Controller), AutoCad, MHS (Material Handling System) and Engineering software.

· Knowledge in Electrical drafting, process piping design and Mechanical design/implementation.

· Electrical and electronic knowledge with excellent technical, analytical and communication skills.

· Experience in Electro-mechanical designing, developing and testing.

· Experience refining workflow processes and improvement in organizational efficiency.

· Hands-on experience performing quality troubleshooting, electronics system design and development.

· Proactive team player and technically motivated to solve problems, innovate and deliver to internal and external customers.

· Possess strong written and communication skills.
