FYX Life – Business Development Intern

We are looking for a motivated intern/part time employee to conduct in-depth market research and drive onboarding efforts for our new marketplace platform. You will work closely with the Founders to bring ideas from concept to reality, playing a critical role in developing the minimum viable product (MVP), validating product-market fit, and building our initial merchant and customer base.

Role & Responsibilities:

Market Research:

• Conduct interviews through cold calls and in-person visits to business centers, in the beauty and wellness sector across key hubs of Singapore.
• Engage with owners, staff, and consumers to gather insights on industry challenges, product preferences, and service expectations.
• Design and refine questionnaires for structured and insightful data collection.
• Build rapport and meaningful conversations with stakeholders for future engagement.
• Analyze responses to validate hypotheses and shape MVP development.
• Summarize findings and provide actionable insights to the team.

Merchant & Customer Onboarding:

• Prepare business development material and demos.
• Proactively pitch the value proposition of our merchant-side MVP to business owners.
• Assist merchants in registering, setting up their profiles, and uploading their services onto the platform.
• Support onboarding of early customers onto our customer marketplace MVP – explain benefits, assist with account setup, and encourage first bookings.
• Collect feedback from both merchants and customers to improve platform experience.

What We are Looking For:

• Fluent in Mandarin & English (for seamless communication with diverse stakeholders).
• Strong interpersonal skills – confident in engaging business owners, staff, and consumers.
• Ability to frame thoughtful questions and drive engaging conversations.
• Comfortable with on-ground research, cold calling, shop visits, and hands-on onboarding work.
• Organized and detail-oriented in collecting, presenting, and synthesizing data.
• Interest in the health, wellness, and beauty industry.
• Self-starter mindset – able to work independently and thrive in a fast-paced, early-stage environment.
