FrieslandCampina produces and sells consumer products such as dairy-based beverages, infant nutrition, cheese and desserts in many European countries, in Asia and in Africa via its own subsidiaries. Dairy products are also exported worldwide from the Netherlands. In addition, products are supplied to professional customers, including cream and butter products to bakeries and catering companies in West Europe. FrieslandCampina sells ingredients and half-finished products to manufacturers of infant nutrition, the food industry and the pharmaceutical sector around the world.

Category Procurement Intern Plastics Packaging (6 months full time)
The highly visible global packaging procurement team in FrieslandCampina plays a big part in shaping the overall business strategy cross functionally which includes product development/ R&D, marketing, finance etc. You will have the opportunity to positively impact our value chain within the procurement space, and understand how the manufacturing of product packaging works within the company.
We are looking for a Category Procurement intern interested in the product packaging (plastic) to assist the Asia Plastic Packaging Category Procurement Manager on a global/regional level to drive Procurement strategy. This internship will require the intern to commit for 6 months on a full time basis.
The Category Procurement Intern (Plastics Packaging) will be supporting two categories- He/she will spend 90% of the time supporting the Plastic Packaging Category Procurement team and 10% on other Categories (as required).
General responsibilities across both categories
• Lead procurement reporting and tracking of payment terms, savings, initiatives etc.
• Lead Tail-end Contract Management and assist in simple tail-end contracting responsibilities (eg. Contract cleanup, obtain signatories, upload contract to online system)
General Responsibilities for Plastic Packaging Category
• Build category portfolio deep dive
The intern will map out the current category procurement portfolio and formulate pricing templates. Additionally, he/she will propose guidelines for breakdown costings, terms and conditions across Asia for the plastic packaging category on a global/ regional level. As such, he/she will also have the chance to work across various functions (Procurement, R&D, Finance, Supply Chain) within a matrix environment.
