We manage a Fintech fund, which invested in several early-stage companies predominantly in Southeast Asia.
Position: Venture Capital Summer Intern
Due to strong interest from investors, Fintonia will be launching several Funds in 2021. As a result, we are looking for an intern to assist in this new growth initiative. The intern would also be assisting analysts in monitoring our portfolio companies and assisting in the sourcing and execution of deals. As an intern, you will be joining a fun and fast-paced environment and will be working with experienced industry professionals. You will be working closely with senior management and work together with external service providers to deliver strong performance and growth for the Fund.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform market research and analysis on industry trends, market developments and identification of potential clients for the Fund.
• Contribute to various tasks related to preparation of reports, investor presentations to management and the updating of the Fund’s performance.
• Shadow analysts in deal sourcing, screening, evaluation and execution stages. (e.g. call and/or meet with prospects, evaluate investment opportunities, financial modelling)
Key Requirements
• Finance and/or Accounting background.
• Demonstrated interest in investments, cryptocurrencies and venture capital.
• Sound judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work independently with minimal guidance.
• Ability to multi-task and not afraid to ask questions.
