fileAI – Software Engineering Intern

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in writing, refactoring, optimizing, and improving existing code in collaboration with the engineering team.

• Contribute to the development of new features and functionality for our SaaS platform.

• Participate in code reviews and ensure that best practices are followed.

• Help create, maintain, and run unit tests, integration tests, and automated tests to ensure software quality.

• Identify and report bugs, issues, and performance bottlenecks.

• Collaborate with the QA team to troubleshoot and resolve testing issues.

• Assist in documenting code, features, APIs, and processes for internal and external users.

• Write clear, concise, and comprehensive technical documentation to ensure ease of use and maintainability.

• Help maintain knowledge base articles, FAQs, and user guides.

• Work closely with developers, designers, and product managers to understand the software development process.

• Contribute to sprint planning and brainstorming sessions to improve product functionality and user experience.

• Participate in team meetings and bring new ideas for product improvements and efficiencies.

Who you are:

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or similar.

• Understanding of software development practices, including version control (Git), testing frameworks, and continuous integration.

• Knowledge of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and SaaS architecture is a plus.

• Strong analytical skills and a passion for troubleshooting and resolving issues.

• Ability to document technical concepts clearly and effectively for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player in a collaborative environment.

• Experience with AWS, and front-end frameworks like React are a bonus
