Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Involve in real-life projects alongside engineering practitioners.
  • Perform data recording and data analysis (quality, cost, productivity, delivery)
  •  on various production and logistic processes.
  • Involve in root causes analysis and problem-solving process to optimize the current processes.
  • Assist production/logistic supervisor to maintain the documentation related to CIP (continuous improvement), 5S etc.
  • Work with production/logistic supervisor for enhancing visual management at shopfloor.
  • Conduct random inspection on production and logistic facility, report deviations to supervisor.
  • Assist with training/workshop preparation.
  • Liaise with supply chain/buyers to follow-up purchasing.
  • Perform support on the daily tasks in the warehouse upon request.

Technical Skills and Competencies will learn from the program:

  • Learn the basic concepts about 5S, CIP, shopfloor management, visual management.
  • Learn problem-solving tools like 8D, Ishikwa (fishbone), 5why.
  • Gain the ability to map and analyze a process by study the statistic.
  • Gain experience and knowledge to work in manufacturing and logistic facilities.
  • Learn how to and subsequently plan efficient project timelines
  • Building a strong relationship with colleagues via communication and interpersonal relationship skills (soft skill).

  • Preferred discipline of study: Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial and Operations Management, Business Process & Quality Engineering, Engineering Science, Logistics Management, Logistics Engineering & Management, Quality Management & Engineering, Industrial & Operations Management or Industrial & Systems Engineering
  • Time Period: 3 months starting from February or March 2021 onwards
  • Working hours: 42.5 hours per week
  • Monthly Training Allowance: $600 to $1,000 (depending on educational qualification)
