JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
Good vision is a basic human right. Yet, uncorrected poor vision affects 1 in 3 people around the world. That’s at least 2.5 billion people.
90% of them live in base-of-the-pyramid (BoP) regions with no access to and no awareness of vision care, preventing them from reaching their full potential.

Therefore it is our responsibility to help eliminate uncorrected poor vision in a generation, creating rural optical points in BoP areas and bringing affordable products to BoP consumers.
Your role will involve supporting the team to create awareness and engagement programs that educate BoP consumers on the importance of good vision, and encourage them to visit the rural optical points we have created to get their eyes checked.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:
- Work with agencies to develop point-of-sale and other merchandising materials to support our rural optical partners in driving awareness, product visibility, and sales.
- Support the end-to-end development and execution of marketing campaigns / projects (e.g. digital marketing and branding efforts) to increase the awareness of good vision and enhance brand perception
- Assist country teams by providing marketing support for ad-hoc tasks as required.
- Keep abreast of the latest developments in marketing, vision care and public health to further the brand’s reach and engagement and achieve our marketing objectives
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communication, Advertising, Multimedia, or Business
- Keen interest in learning about and working on rural consumer marketing and brand management
- Creative and experimental ideator with ability to bring ideas to life and execute to fruition
- Analytical and business-oriented, with strong project management skills
- Positive attitude and proactive, with good organisation & communication skills
- Proficient in MS Office tools (particularly Excel and PowerPoint) and basic design software such as Canva; experience with Adobe Photoshop is highly desirable.
- Analytical ability and passion, business oriented and used to work with Microsoft Excel
- Strong project management skills/ability to work on multiple topics concurrently under tight deadlines
- Reliable, autonomous, precise, good organization & communication skills
- Positive and proactive attitude
