ENGIE Factory is the dedicated venture arm for the ENGIE Group in Asia-Pacific, based in Singapore. Our mission is to develop new growth vectors for the group in the region that address our global ambition to transform the energy world into a zero carbon one.
We intend to deliver our mission through three activities: (i) by investing in strategic startups through corporate venture capital, (ii) setting up structural partnerships with mature startups and (iii) building entirely new corporate-backed startups.

What We Do
We are an experienced and diverse team of former founders, operators and ex-consultants driven to deliver real impact and help accelerate the transition to a zero carbon society. Our venture studio currently has 5 active seed funded ventures working on solutions from energy efficiency to renewable energy, electric vehicle solutions and more. We also work closely with nearly 10 other startups to scale their solutions to global customers.
At ENGIE Factory, you will be part of a small but collaborative community driven by the opportunity to create a positive change to the energy and urban landscapes in Asia-Pacific.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
As a Venture Strategy and Operations intern with us, you will work closely with our core team and venture founders across our portfolio in Venture Building and Venture Scaling. While we encourage you to take ownership of your internship and work on projects that you find exciting, the following tasks are likely to be a part of your role:
- Conduct market research and analysis, serving as a consultant for portfolio companies
- Provide hands-on support to portfolio companies in early stage operational needs from setting up new ventures to hiring, business development and marketing
- Develop presentations and reports for external audiences and stakeholders
- Assist in building the ecosystem of founders and partners of ENGIE Factory
- Support the ENGIE Factory team in other day-to-day operations or strategic initiatives
We don’t see our interns any differently from one of us. If you’re up for it, lead presentations, craft strategies or take on sales pitches – the sky’s the limit.

- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Preferred work experience in startups, management consulting or venture capital; regional experience is a bonus
Contract Type and Location
You must be able to commit full-time for a minimum of 12 weeks, up to a maximum of 6 months. The role will be based in Singapore, with a flexible start date.
