EMURGO Ventures is Singapore-based early stage Venture Capital fund that only invests in Web 3 companies. Key focus areas include DeFi, GameFi & Infrastructure.
We are currently looking for a full-time Venture Capital Intern.As a Web 3 Venture Capital Intern, you will have the opportunity to work with our team of experienced professionals in the exciting and rapidly evolving world of Web 3.This internship offers valuable exposure to the Web 3 ecosystem and an opportunity to learn & be involved in the entire investment process.
EMURGO Ventures will be prioritizing applicants who have a current right to work in Singapore, and do not require sponsorship of a visa. The internship will be for three months with the possibility of extension depending on performance.
Compensation: From SGD1,000
Roles & Responsibilities:
● Due Diligence: Assist & support the investment team in performing due diligence on potential investment targets, including analyzing business models, market dynamics, competitive landscapes, and financial metrics. Help to Prepare comprehensive reports and investment memos to support investment decision-making.
● Market Research: Conduct market research on various Web 3 sectors, including DeFi, Infrastructure & GameFi. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in blockchain technology, other emerging trends to identify market gaps, potential disruptors, and investment opportunities.
● Portfolio Monitoring: Assist & support the investment team to track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and keep monitoring documents up to date.
● Ad-hoc tasks: Support the team in ad-hoc tasks as necessary
Requirements:
● Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in finance, business, economics, computer science, or a related field. Knowledge or prior experience in Web 3 is highly desirable.
● Passion for Web 3: Demonstrated interest in decentralized technologies, blockchain, cryptocurrencies, or the broader Web 3 ecosystem. Familiarity with major blockchain platforms, protocols, and projects is a plus.
● Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with the ability to conduct research, analyze data, and draw meaningful insights. Proficiency in Excel & Powerpoint is preferred.
● Research Abilities: Excellent research capabilities, including the ability to gather information from various sources, synthesize findings, and present them in a clear and concise manner.
● Adaptability: Willingness to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment. Ability to adapt to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines effectively.
