Founded in 2011, Empact is a leading social enterprise with a mission to build the capacity of social organisations (referred to as non-profit organisations and social enterprises) in Singapore and the region. Our aim for our capacity building efforts is to empower these social organisations to be empowered for greater impact.

Through our cross-sector collaboration with sector developers, grantmakers, corporates and volunteers, we bridge the capacity gap of the social sector by channelling talents, skills and resources to co-create innovative solutions to address the various needs of social organisations.

To date, Empact has impacted and empowered more than 1,000 social organisations in the region, with a contribution of savings amounting up to $7 million worth of professional services that have been rendered pro bono for the social sector.

In 2019, Empact was selected as a finalist for the President’s Challenge Social Enterprise of the Year Award. This is the highest accolade for social enterprises in Singapore by the President of Singapore.

Job Description

This position is to support Consultants to build capacities and capabilitiesof non-profit and social enterprise clients through digitalisation and the use of technology.

 

Intern to be involved in:

A. IT Business Analyst- Conduct business analysis on IT needs for Empact and Empact'sclients

- Support Empact's consultants in advising potential IT solutions forEmpact and Empact's clients

- Research, assess and document suitable and emergingtechnologies for the social sector

 

B. Product & Solution Implementation, Support & Maintenance

- Prototype and develop solution for both internal and externalcustomers

- Provide product and solution maintenance support for bothinternal and external customers

- Provide product and solution training to both internal andexternal customers

- Develop knowledge bases and FAQs for product support activities

 

C. Ad-hoc Internal IT support for Empact staffs

Qualifications

Applicants should be comfortable with programming concepts and be open to pick up new skills (both technical and non-technical).
