Job Description –

• Provide expert advice to on-board new users to NSCC’s systems
• Translate user requirements into optimal computational work plans
• Assist in the design of NSCC 2.0 systems, including benchmarking related scientific workloads on various platforms and recommending the most suitable architecture for the research community
• Engage with new researchers, communities and disciplines with data-intensive computing.
• Project management to ensure timeliness in the deployment of new systems.
• Manage a team of HPC software analysts and project managers in fulfilling the above tasks.

Job Requirements - 

• A postgraduate qualification or significant progress towards postgraduate qualifications in a relevant scientific or computer-science discipline. PhD preferred though not essential
• Proven working knowledge of a relevant scientific domain or AI. The multi-disciplinary experience will be a very welcomed bonus.
• Experience with relevant HPC software or AI frameworks is essential
• Experience as an advanced HPC user or sysadmin
• Demonstrated high-level problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated effective communication skill including the ability to articulate technical concepts to a diverse range of clients.
• Demonstrated ability & willingness to contribute novel ideas and approaches in support of the Client research community.
• At least one published journal article or conference paper on an internationally recognized platform related to the field (please provide reference)
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a similar position and environment
• Relevant project management skills or experience will be an asset
